Meet our Patients
JHI believes that everyone should benefit from advances in research and medical treatments; unfortunately geography and funding often leave the most vulnerable without life-altering care. We are fighting to end this disparity by providing for children who suffer from rare or overlooked conditions, connecting them with world-class care and covering all out-patient needs. Meet the children we've served.
Current Patients
Fatimetou and Mariem
Join our current health initiative: conjoined twins Fatimetou and Mariem from Mauritania, who have one of the rarest birth abnormalities. Twins joined at the head—known as craniopagus twins—occur at a rate of one in 2.5 million births. Tragically, only 25 percent survive past birth. With your support, we will work to ensure Fatimetou and Mariem defy these odds.
