Running the Marathon
On April 21st, Alex and Andrea laced up their sneakers, joined thousands of runners on the historic Boston Marathon course, and crossed the finish line not just for themselves—but for JHI and the conjoined twins Mariem and Fati.
With determination, spirit, and the support of a loving community, both Alex and Andrea completed the marathon.
🏅 Alex finished in 4:56:07
🏅 Andrea finished in 5:07:55
Now celebrating their well-earned victories, both are healthy, joyful, and filled with gratitude.
Alex always says that Marathon Monday is the friendliest day in Boston and this year was no exception. Alex and Andrea made it through every mile and hill with the help of everyone who came out to cheered them on. The JHI community has also been a foundational support system as they've trained and prepared for this run.
"Thank you for being part of this journey, for running this Marathon alongside me in spirit, and for helping bring healing and hope to so many families."— Alex
Alex, Andrea, and the entire JHI team extend their deepest thanks to everyone who believe in this cause. Your support carried them across the finish line—and it continues to carry children toward a healthier future. Together, we raised an incredible $31,914, which helps fund 1.25 medical sponsorships—a direct investment in care for children who need it most. Each donation, each share, each word of encouragement made a difference.
With every step, we’re closer to a world where every child has access to the care they deserve.
