Twins Undergoing Their Second Surgery

A Big Day for conjoined twins Fati and Mariem: Please Keep Them in Your Thoughts

Beginning in the morning of April 3rd, two very special little girls, Fati and Mariem, underwent their second major surgery—one of the most critical steps yet on their journey toward separation.

It’s their second major procedure and a significant one. The operation could last many hours, as the surgical team works with precision and care. The focus is on the back of their heads, where a major blood vessel and several smaller veins connect them. These delicate structures must be carefully separated to ensure a safe path forward.

In the days leading up to today, Fati faced a few challenges—her feeding tube dislodged twice, and just last night, doctors conducted a sleep study to confirm she was stable enough for surgery. Despite those hurdles, the team moved ahead this morning with confidence and hope.

Please keep Fati, Mariem, their incredible parents, and the dedicated medical team in your hearts. They face this moment with courage, faith, and strength—and they need all the support, love, and hope we can send.

We’ll continue to share updates as we receive them. Thank you for being part of this journey. Your prayers, kindness, and generosity are helping make healing possible.
