1. Expand Direct and Indirect Service Patient Cases

Increase the number of JHI patients from the current caseload of 20 to 45 by steadily adding 5 new patients each year, with a max total of 145 cumulative patients over five years, variance allowed for potential spillover of cases.

Our focus is on maintaining strong logistical and financial support while ensuring we have the necessary capacity to deliver consistent, high-quality care. Because our model supports patients throughout the full duration of their treatment (as long as they continue to meet our eligibility parameters), we must also plan for the spillover of both major and minor cases. We will prioritize this steady growth rather than exponential expansion to avoid overextending our resources, given the high variability in patient costs and capacity constraints.

2. Strengthen Medical Partnerships

Build a robust network of 18 hospitals and non-profit medical partners—a 2.5x increase from current levels—establishing strong, sustainable collaborations that expands access and impact.

We use different Levels to define the depth of our partnerships, with the expectation that growth will naturally progress upward through the levels. Our long-term goal is to establish Level 1 and Level 2 medical partnerships, with assistance of our Medical Advisory Board, which create reliable global medical pathways to support case expansion. At the same time, Level 3 partnerships remain essential as entry-level collaborations. They broaden our regional reach, provide valuable exploratory insights into new health systems, and require comparatively less logistical and financial investment from JHI.

3. Advance Program Development

Expand JHI’s external infrastructure through development and establishment of programs. These will include a Caregiver Support Program and diverse funding channels for supporting patients.

JHI’s infrastructure growth will be driven by these key initiatives which include the creation of a Caregiver Support Program (CSP), offering structured guidance, enrichment, and emotional support to those accompanying patients through treatment. This will require strengthening our volunteer model, as volunteers are essential to JHI’s success through both individualized support and established Care Teams. Additionally, JHI will diversify its funding model through initiatives such as “Fund a _____”, which enables donors to directly contribute to specific aspects of a patient’s journey—whether by sponsoring meals, supporting individual patients, or funding defined stages within the JHI care process.

4. Enhance Organizational Capacity

Grow the internal infrastructure required to to strengthen and advance our mission. Including by committees and filling three key positions essential to advancing our mission.

The key areas of expansion for JHI are: Program Manager, International Patient Coordinator, and Communications & Outreach Coordinator. In addition, JHI will also gain support through strategically outsourcing positions. these will be a Grant consultant and Bookkeeper. In addition, we will explore what additional support and roles may be needed to drive our program outcomes (e.g. Grant Concultant and Bookkeeper)
